Royal Enfield is setting the UK sales charts on fire. In India too, the company is seeing steady growth – thanks to the new generation of motorcycles like Meteor 350 and Classic 350. To gain additional market share, the company has recently launched its most affordable bike – the Hunter 350. Take a few months to understand the Hunter’s performance in India, we have sales data for its entire range from July 2022.
This motorcycle has always fetched the most sales for the company over the years. Last month too, the Classic 350 contributed the most at 32,001 units. This is a good growth as RE sold 24,947 units in July 2021.
The Bullet 350 is a motorcycle that is sold only in certain states. But it still manages to bring good sales for the company. It was the second best-selling bike for the brand at 12,200 units, down less than 50 percent from last July. The demand for this great brand will continue to increase in the next few months as the new Bullet 350 is about to be launched.
Meteor 350 was the third best selling bike for Royal Enfield last month. A total of 12,000 units were sold, just 200 fewer than the Bullet 350. In terms of year-on-year growth, the Meteor registered a flat growth of 11,562 units last July.
Royal Enfield managed to sell the Himalayan in good numbers last month. A total of 5555 units were sold in July 2022 which is a huge increase from July 2021. 3310 units of Himalayan were sold that month. We can expect Himalayan sales to remain flat as there are many reports of Himalayan 450 floating on the internet.
Royal Enfield’s flagship motorcycle – the Interceptor 650 has done marginally well in the last month. A total of 3246 units were sold last month compared to 2977 units in July 2022. We expect this number to increase in the next few months as the festive season is just around the corner.
