The best new Hallmark Christmas movies to watch | Jobi Cool


As the calendar updates in December, you’re looking to bask in the Christmas spirit. It turns out that Hallmark and the Hallmark Movie and Mystery Channels are debuting 40 new holiday movies this year. So there are many occasions where I consider the film the equivalent of a warm sugar cookie.

Since there are so many movies you can watch between these two channels, I’m going to try to present the can’t-miss Hallmark holiday movies for 2022. These are the movies that have premiered this year (20 movies, half of the full slate, have aired since October) and have the highest ratings on IMDB. Below that, you’ll find the full list of new Hallmark Christmas movie offerings for 2022. Grab some eggnog and let’s go.

2022 Hallmark Christmas Movies to Watch

Noel Next Door got off to a strong start to the season as the first 2022 Hallmark Christmas movie broadcast. The flick follows a single mother named Noelle (Natalie Hall) whose love interest is also the neighborhood “Scrooge.” Tune into this one for a crowd-favorite holiday romance.

spy Romance. Hot princes. Royal Nanny has all the makings of a truly memorable holiday movie. Rachel Skarsten plays the titular nanny/MI5 agent who goes undercover inside Kensington Palace. Pour a glass of holiday wine and run away.

Christmas at the Golden Dragon

In this charming movie, siblings Romy (Kara Wang) and Rick (Osrik Chow) get some unexpected news at Christmas time – their parents are closing down the family business, Golden Dragon. They must navigate what the popular Chinese restaurant has with its loyal patrons.

Ghosts of Christmas forever

If you like your Christmas fare with a bit of imagination, The Ghost of Christmas is always the way to go. The movie is about a Christmas ghost named Catherine (Kim Matula) who helps souls on earth rediscover their Christmas spirit. Let it bring some well-deserved happiness to your evening.

Three wise men and a child

Three brothers bond to take care of a mysterious child in this hilarious Christmas movie. If you’re aiming for some laughs, this might be your best bet out of the bunch. Plus, it stars three Hallmark movie vets – Andrew Walker (Bride for Christmas), Tyler Hines (The 12th of Christmas) and Paul Campbell (Christmas by Starlight).
