Benelli India has revised the prices of its motorcycles in our market and the revision affects the company’s retro-styled Royal Enfield Classic 350-rival, the Imperial 400. With the latest price hike, the Imperial 400 is now available for Rs 2,35,000. ex-showroom, India), an increase of Rs 21,000 over the previous ex-showroom price tag. Additionally, all color options are now available at the same price.
Like the rest of Benelli’s products sold in India, this price hike does not bring any cosmetic or mechanical changes to the motorcycle. As such, it continues to pack retro-styling with a 374cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 20.7bhp and a peak torque of 29Nm. The feature list retains a halogen headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS.
The Benelli Imperial 400 competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in the Indian market. With this price hike, the Imperiale 400 has become significantly more expensive than the best-selling Royal Enfield motorcycle. Apart from the Classic 350, the Imperial 400 also has to compete with Honda Hness CB350 and Java Standard in our market.
